Both achieve a precision bore surface for hydraulic cylinders, but the process differs. Honing uses bonded abrasive stones to refine the inner bore — ideal for smaller diameters or when very tight Ra tolerances (below 0.2 μm) are required. Skiving & roller burnishing (SRB) is a two-in-one pass: a skiving knife removes material, then rollers cold-work the surface to Ra ≤ 0.4 μm. SRB is faster and more cost-effective for production volumes above 1 ton. Both methods meet H8 tolerance per ISO 286-2 and are suitable for cylinder seals rated up to 350 bar.

E355 (ST52) is our standard and most recommended grade for hydraulic cylinder tubes — it offers yield strength ≥ 355 N/mm², good weldability, and excellent machinability. For higher dynamic loads, 27SiMn (TS ≥ 760 N/mm²) is preferred in mining and heavy construction. C20 / ST45 suits lighter-duty pneumatic applications. CK45 / 45# is used when the tube also serves as a structural load-bearing component. Stainless grades SS304 and SS316 are available for corrosive environments. All materials supplied with EN 10204 type 3.1 mill certificate.

For standard sizes (E355, OD 40–200 mm, H8 tolerance), the MOQ is 1 metric ton. For custom dimensions, non-standard materials, or cut-to-length orders, the typical MOQ is 3 metric tons to justify tooling and setup. Trial sample pieces (200–500 mm lengths) are available before bulk order at no extra charge — customer pays shipping. Standard production lead time is 25–35 days from purchase order confirmation. Rush orders (15–20 days) are possible for in-stock sizes at a premium.

Every shipment includes an original EN 10204 type 3.1 mill test certificate covering: chemical composition, mechanical properties (tensile strength, yield strength, elongation), hardness, and heat/lot number traceable to the production batch. On request, we provide: EN 10204 type 3.2 (third-party witnessed inspection), ISO 9227 salt spray test report, PED 2014/68/EU compliance declaration for pressure equipment applications, and dimensional inspection reports. HEVO Steel holds ISO 9001:2015 certification.

We welcome buyer verification. We can provide: our Chinese business license (营业执照) showing manufacturing scope, our ISO 9001:2015 certificate issued by a third-party body, and export records from Chinese customs (available through verification services like Panjiva or ImportGenius). We offer live factory video tours via WhatsApp or WeChat before any order, and welcome on-site factory audits — our facility is located in Shandong Province, approximately 1.5 hours from Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport.

We support all major Incoterms 2020: EXW (ex-works, buyer arranges freight), FCA (free carrier at our facility), FOB Qingdao or Shanghai (most common for container shipments), CIF (cost, insurance, freight to destination port), DAP and DDP (door-to-door, duty paid — available for USA, EU, Australia, UAE, and most CIS countries). We have established freight forwarder partnerships and can assist with export documentation including commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin (CO), and fumigation certificate for wooden crating (ISPM-15 compliant).

Yes. We manufacture to customer drawings and non-standard specifications. Custom options include: non-standard OD/WT combinations outside the EN 10305 range, tighter ID tolerances (H7 or tighter), surface finish below Ra 0.2 μmlengths up to 12 m for honed and up to 16 m for cold drawn, special heat treatment conditions (Q+T, case hardening), and secondary operations such as chamfering, threading, or coating. Minimum lead time for custom orders is 35–45 days. Please provide your drawing or specification sheet for a detailed quotation.
